Cheshunt Marsh

Cheshunt Marsh, is part of the wider Turnford and Cheshunt Pits SSSI in Lee Valley Regional Park. The grassland here was included in the designation because of its Orthoptera interest and more recent surveys have shown other invertebrate interest.  Our Old English Goats are helping to reduce the cover of scrub to achieve a balanced mosaic of grassland and scrub at various stages of growth. Currently the grazing compartment is 2.7ha but it is hoped that this will be extending to the north marsh in a couple of years following some initial scrub management.
